DUTY STATION: Rabat, Morocco

SALARY LEVEL: Salary based on experience; Starting at 135,793 MAD gross; net pay, includes, CIMR, CNSS, Health Insurance, Disability Insurance, Work Accident and Life Insurance and Moroccan taxes.

The United States Peace Corps is seeking a Grants Coordinator/Operations Assistant. Under the general supervision of the Country Director and Administrative Officer, manage the Small Grants Program for Peace Corps Morocco volunteers. Provide daily administrative support to the PC Morocco Country Director and general operations.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Grant program management and oversight of approximately 35 to 40 various small grants at any given time, serve as expert on grant program rules and requirements and oversee entire grant process from initial application to project completion
  • Establish and maintain all official grant files, both electronic and hard copy files
  • Primary liaison with Peace Corps/headquarters on grant program(s); submit all required reports to Peace Corps/headquarters.
  • Provide financial management oversight of grants by tracking grant spending and available funds by program and by funding areas, ensure financial processing of approved grants
  • Track the status of all ongoing grant projects to ensure timely completion and submission
  • Ensures that the final report meets all Small Grants Program guidelines and all funds are correctly accounted for
  • Understand Project Design and Management (PDM) tools and ensure consistency between grants
  • Perform daily administrative support functions to support PC Morocco Country Director
  • Prepares all official correspondence (French) with Ministries, Governors and other partner organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
  • Moroccan citizen
  • University degree or equivalent in Business Management/Administration preferred.
  • Three to five years of related administrative/grants management work experience required.
  • Strong Language ability: Written and Spoken English, French and Arabic required.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, managerial and interpersonal skills required.
  • Patience, attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government budget process and regulations a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
