POSITION: Assistants for Pre-Service Training
DUTY STATION: Rabat/Other areas in Morocco
DATE OF ENTRY ON DUTY: November 14, 2012
DATE OF COMPLETION: March 29, 2013
SALARY LEVEL: Starting salary at 300 Dhs per day plus per diem, housing, and transportation.

Position Summary:
Peace Corps Morocco is seeking 3 Assistants for the Pre-Service Training (PST) of its new volunteers. PST Assistants will assist the Training team, PST staff, and other Peace Corps staff with logistics, documentation and budget operations. The position requires extensive travel to ensure the highest levels of training quality.
Job Description
  • Provide friendly, prompt and efficient support to Peace Corps Trainees, Volunteers, staff and host families
  • In coordination with Training Team, PST staff, and other Peace Corps units, arrange for all PST logistics - training sites, accommodations, meals, and transportation
  • Work closely with Training team to support PST staff and ensure the quality and success of the training
  • Take inventory of PST supplies in stock for PST and help the Training team and other PC units put together a list of supplies needed for PST
  • Maintain an inventory list of all equipment and supplies assigned during PST and purchase needed training supplies
  • Oversee packing and shipping of PST supplies/equipment and Trainees’ luggage
  • Help prepare contracts for all PST related staff and events
  • Help Peace Corps staff and Volunteers arrange logistics for site visits and trainings
  • Execute PST payments as appropriate and ensures adequate documentation
  • Report PST expenses to Training Manager and Administrative staff on a regular basis
  • Collect and process the staff's time sheets and prepare the statements of accounts
  • Coordinate the schedules for use of PST vehicles
  • Work with session presenters to ensure all training venues are prepared, equipment is set-up and in working order, and all supplies and materials are prepared and ready for distribution
  • Provide safety and security support to PC Trainees, Volunteers and staff
  • Clear up all advances and close all the PST documentation
  • Writes and submits a final administrative report
  • Perform other related duties as necessary
  • Live at the training site for the duration of training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
  • University degree and/or equivalent education and experience
  • Fluency in Moroccan Arabic and a very good command of English and French
  • Experience working with adults in a cross-cultural context
  • High organizational skills, including administrative and financial experience
  • Ability to work independently and be part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and knowledge to the expedient resolution of a broad range of issues relative to individual Trainees, PST staff, emergencies, and the like
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, excel, internet, and e-mail
  • Fluency in Tamazight and/or Tashelheet (strongly desired)
  • Moroccan Citizenship
